Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in the UK held first post-lockdown business networking evening

The Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in the UK (LCCUK) at the beginning of August held its first post-lockdown business networking evening. The evening was a great success, with a large turnout, including 35 businesses that shared their experience and contacts. Attendees had an opportunity to meet likeminded business owners, learn the neuroscience of productivity, change, and leadership and enjoy live music by Freya Alley.

“LCCUK has always strived to be an organization that promotes business links between the British and Lithuanian communities and connects Lithuanian businesses in the United Kingdom as well as the ones trading here from Lithuania. I always had a clear vision of what I want this organization to become and stand for in the future. We had put great efforts in building a plan, that would help to connect, support and grow Lithuanian businesses in the United Kingdom”, said President at the Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in the UK Aiste Naujokaityte.

Mantas Zamzickas, Attaché for Commercial Affairs at Lithuanian embassy in the UK, also joined the event. Mantas has helped many businesses from Lithuania to bring their brands to the UK market. During the networking part he shared his valuable experience.

In the seminar neuroscientist, Dr. Gabija Toleikyte discussed what is needed for our brains to stay productive and adjust to change more successfully, and what style of leadership would be most suitable to support that. By now Gabija has successfully coached over a few hundred academics, businessmen, professional athletes, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, charities on work performance, effective leadership, goal clarity, career transition, work-life balance, assertiveness, fearless public speaking, building constructive relationships at work and other topics. She is currently working on her book covering brain-based methodologies of change.

MIT Ventures were proud to sponsor the event. The event was attended by Aiste Naujokaityte, Client Director at MIT and President at the Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in the UK, along with MIT Ventures CEO, David Callaghan.

The event took place at the beautiful and spacious Lithuanian restaurant Shephard’s Inn – Bernelių Užeiga.

Every year LCCUK has had two major events, that’s the Ambassador Golf tournament and the Charity Ball that has always raised a substantial sum of money for those in need in Lithuania. “We will keep these two fantastic events, as our ongoing tradition, but unfortunately in line with the recent events our Charity ball will have to be postponed until 2021. However, we will find a way just before Christmas, of how we can donate and help those in need. Every quarterly LCCUK event will have exact same format, with relevant external seminar and business networking event after”, said Aiste Naujokaityte

This year’s Ambassador Golf and Tennis tournament will take place next month, 18th of September in a beautiful venue based in Hertfordshire, Moore Park.  Due to the current situation places are very limited to only 30 people at the event. The prizes will be donated by the Lithuanian embassy and ambassador Renatas Norkus will be there to give them out to the winners.
