On August 31st LOT will take-off again from London-City to Vilnius. Flights will be operated as many as 12 times per week by modern Embraer 190. Tickets are already available.

Flights between Vilnius and London City (LCY) will continue to be operated as part of PSO formula (Public Service Obligation) which allows public entities to co-fund flights of special interest within the EU. LOT won the tender which The Government of Lithuania had opened in summer 2018. Flights between Vilnius and London-City were launched last year for the first time. The route turned out to be very successful and popular among passengers travelling both from the UK and Lithuania.

Starting August 31st flights will be reintroduced and operated according to the following schedule:

LO271    VNO-LCY 06:30-07:30 Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat
LO272    LCY-VNO 08:00-12:45 Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat
LO273    VNO-LCY 17:10-18:10 Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sun
LO274    LCY-VNO 18:40-23:25 Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sun

“We are delighted to reintroduce one of the most favourable flights between Vilnius and London (LCY). After very difficult times of lockdown and suspension of international air travels caused by the global pandemic, we observe an increased passenger demand for international travel. Therefore, by the end of August we would like to invite passengers from Lithuania to the most conveniently located airport in the UK – to London-City. The re-launched flights are expected to attract a lot of interest and contribute to a strengthening of relations between Lithuania and Great Britain “, said Krzysztof Moczulski, LOT’s spokesperson.

“We are excited to see the route to London City returning to Vilnius Airport. This route is a very important link not only for our airport but for the whole economy as it improves connectivity and facilitates foreign direct investments and business relationships between both Lithuania and the United Kingdom. Recovery of Vilnius-London City route again brings new travelling possibilities for partners, the whole business community and Lithuanians living in the UK”, states Aurimas Stikliunas, Head of Aviation Services at Lithuanian Airports.
London City (LCY) is an optimally located airport for passengers willing to get to the centre of Great Britain's capital city quickly and conveniently avoiding commuting issues and traffic jams. The airport is located in Royal Docks and it is the closest to the Central London: just under 10 km from City and Canary Wharf.

Because of short runway and steep approach procedure at London City (LCY), only a few aircraft types, including Embraer 190, are allowed to be used at this airport. Aboard their E-190s LOT Polish Airlines offers 106 seats in three classes of travel.

Starting effectively from July, LOT re-opened a numerous international flights services providing passengers with over 30 holiday destinations around Europe as well as selected long-haul services i.e. to Japan and South Korea. From now on the Poland’s flag carrier subsequently resumes its regular services, among others, between Warsaw and London-Heathrow, Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Prague, Hamburg, Milan, Geneva, Belgrade, Tallinn.

To provide passengers with the possibility to plan their travel more flexible, LOT has also introduced new Flex Plus fares encompassing among others free-of-charge change of departure date (up to 48 hours before departure) as well as the option of returning tickets within 24 hours of its purchase.

Tickets for LOT’s Vilnius-London-City service are already on sale via all LOT’s sales channels, including lot.com website and travel agents.
